The Middle East. Birthplace of Humanity.

I spent many months in the Middle East, working creatively and with educational and humanitarian programmes throughout the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait and Northern Africa. This region completely and unexpectedly took my heart and soul… I fell in love with the depth and beauty of its people, the culture and the region’s history. It was profound.

I’ve lectured at schools outside Dubai, eaten fresh hummus and kababs in the desert under a soul-piercing blanket of stars, visited the night Souk in Doha and ridden a camel in Giza to capture the Pyramids at sunset. I’ve walked the streets of Beirut and lunched by the Med. It’s vibrant, alive, at once old, modern and intensely aesthetic.

The people are truly the kindest, genuine and beautiful. I could live there. Part of my heart still does.
